Star Light, Star Bright

For the past 2 years, I've had to listen to karaoke at least 3 times a week from my next door neighbors. You would think I would get sick of it, and get extremely annoyed after the first 2 times of hearing drunken slurred words bouncing off of the walls... but honestly, it's just pure entertainment. I love it.

Pros:

-Cracks me up on a bad day
-Cracks me up on a good day
-Most of the time, I hear Fergie and/or Lil' Wayne.
-On occasion I'll hear Queen or Journey (this is when I enjoy it most).
-I've only heard Usher on occasion (sadness)
-Any time they have a variety of 90s dance tunes... I feel proud to be their neighbor.
-Right now, I'm listening to Madonna's Star Light, Star Bright and Celebrate for the first time.
-Whenever I hear "PUMP UP THE JAM" and "THIS IS HOW WE DO IT" it's like mini fireworks are going off in my heart
-Slurred words
-Hearty Laughter
-Michael Jackson is played at least 4 times per "gig"
-Whitney Houston and Sade steals the show... forever. You'd be surprised how intense it gets sometimes. It's surreal.
-Rowdy yelling that doesn't quite make sense, because I don't think they are real words. My favorite.
-They sound like they're having fun... every... single... time.

Cons:

-Lasting past 3am when I actually do have to wake up early (mind you that it doesn't always happen on the weekends, sometimes it can be on any given day of the week. I remember a lot of karaoke Tuesdays. Hmm)
-I wish they knew more of the words from the songs.
-Not enough Queen
-Not enough Journey
-Not enough Usher
-If they start at 5pm and keep it goin' until 5am
-Dido comes on sometimes, and bums me out.
-We're not friendly enough to where I can come over and join (although this is sad, I'm kind of glad it works out this way because I get to think of them as karaoke kings). Plus, we know them enough to where they came over to our Halloween party a few weeks ago and were embarrassed when we told them we heard every single word when they held their karaoke gigs. It was hilarious.

[Current K-Tune: "Blinded By The Light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band... priceless]
