It's been a crazy crazy week... I haven't even been able to keep up with my daily NPR picks! (this truly does bum me out)... I am definitely keeping it on here, buuut, I might just do it once a week as opposed to every single day. From the looks of it, I won't have enough time to sit, read, think and then write after every single exhausting night. Anywayy, so my busy busy week consisted of learning everything I possibly could at my new job at the coffee shop, school, lack of sleep and not enough food jammed all into one and being swallowed by me. I'm sure that once everything is situated for me with my hectic schedule in the weeks to come, I'll be a lot less stressed and I'll have a better routine going on. For now, I'm just going to bite the bullet and try to spread myself as thin as possible. On a good note, today was the first day I was able to sleep in!! It was definitely a luxury.
What I've learned so far:
1) Don't pour the mayan powder (or any powder for that matter) into the espresso... it turns out super chunky and gross and unappealing. Pour the espresso into the powder (for easy mixing).
2) My official favorite drinks (to make) are the Latte, the Americano, and the Red Eye... why? because they are the easiest to remember.
3) I can only go as fast as I can go.
4) I can't learn everything in one day.
5) Dave (an employee/coffee god) is the man when it comes to making these drinks... it's incredible how quick he can whip them out.
[It's only been my third day so I've got time to learn the tricks of the trade]
